Congratulations to Linda & yourself on 25 years of marriage.  We will be celebrating ours in 6 months.  The presentation is first class, and well put together.  I particularly like the way you display the photographs in 3D space with the reflection and the particle effect for bringing in the text.  The score is fitting for the occasion.  Personally I am not too keen on using split screen effects where they merge in the centre; I would tend to put them in boxes and keep them separate but that is a personal taste.

Thankyou David Split screen effects allow the feel of one video to pass and interact with the other, boxes or windows can be cold and separating at times altough slightly more professional however as you say it is personal taste, it should be easy enough though to adjust the relative image layer masks to achieve this in your production.

You have some fantastic first play menus for weddings, some have a scene selection menu and some do not. From my point of view I always need a scene selection menu and sometimes I need individual chapter introductions that match the first play menus. Just one chapter menu is sufficient and the words can be changed accordingly. I use the Linden menu a lot and have stripped away a lot of the layers to create a chapter intro menu that I insert in the timeline.

In addition I would like to be able to take stills from the video and use in a photo display in 3D space. The format would need to support both HD and standard definition and the photos orientated for widescreen. I usually need to display anything from 10 to 20 photos so would need a method that was flexible to support this. I would also need to be able to change the background colour to match bridesmaid’s dresses etc.

I also need some good quality backgrounds that I can change the colour of, that are subtle to use where I have 2 or 3 images on screen at a time. You have one that I particularly like that has a single dove in it. They need to be subtle as not to detract from the main images. If possible they should match the menus. Any elements in the backgrounds need the facility to be moved depending on where the top images are placed. (Your single dove on a blue background as an example – I can move the dove and re-colour the background but unfortunately it is not in high definition) You have another with feathers which is nice and subtle that I like. I am not a lover of the curtain effect, which is relatively easy to create in AE. If these could match in some way with the menus then even better.

You have a nice way of bringing up text in your silver wedding shoe shine release that would look nice to bring in text over video for example where there is a change in venue – church – reception venue maybe even the chapter menus. Can this be added as an overlay and altered in size to fit the text?

You also have 3 effects for scene transition. Is it possible to create some more that are different and fit into this type of project?

Hope all is well, finally got round to seeing the 25 year video. Congratulations again and please say the same to Linda.
Video looks very professional

The only thing I would have changed would be the video of the sea because it looks like a very rough unsettled sea the theme of it of the video is a lot more relaxed. But that’s just a personal preference.

Thanks Theo yes a rough, turbulant and constantly changing sea just like life, the project will enable you to simply include any alternate footage here by using the replace footage feature of After Effects.
